Where Every Story Meets Hope

Where Every Story Meets Hope

Welcome to Filer Community Church! Where every story meets hope, we invite you to experience God’s love, encounter Jesus, and belong to a community that is authentic, Spirit-led, and grounded in Scripture.

Our church is a place for anyone—whether churched or unchurched—to belong, grow in faith, and live out the hope of Jesus in everyday life.

We believe that meeting Jesus means every heart is transformed, every life restored, and every story carries hope.

Vision Statement

At Filer Community Church, we call the thirsty and the hurting to the well of Christ, where hearts are transformed and lives are made whole. We seek to live authentically—our lives proclaiming what our voices confess: that we belong to Jesus and His Spirit shapes how we live. As a light in our valley, we are sent to carry His healing, His hope, and His presence into the world.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and without error.

We believe that there is only one God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ.

We believe that he is the only son of God.

We believe in his virgin birth.

We believe that he lived a sinless life.

We believe that God sacrificed his son, Jesus, who was crucified on the cross and shed his blood to atone for the sins of all mankind.

We believe that he was resurrected from the dead and ascended to the right hand of his father in Heaven.

We believe that Jesus will return to Glory and establish his kingdom consisting of all believers.

We believe that the only way to salvation is by repenting from sin and accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

We believe that God instituted marriage between one man and one woman. We believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one man and one woman.

We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end.

We believe that communion is a sacrament given to man to remember his sacrifice for us and to symbolize the new covenant. Bread and wine or juice are symbols of Christ’s body and shed blood. Communion is not a means of salvation. It is a testament of a believer’s faith.

We believe that baptism is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you but is a testimony that you have been saved.
